A meeting was held today at Nukus branch of the State Institute of Art and Culture of Uzbekistan with the participation of workers of trade unions in the field of culture, sports and tourism of Uzbekistan.
After that, the director of the branch A. Ayapov and the head of the institution of the branch professional association B. Begzhanov spoke and talked about the life of the branch, the conditions created for employees, and of course the achievements achieved.
As mentioned above, in order to develop the unique art and culture of our people, in 2008 the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan decided to train highly qualified specialists in the field of education, cinema, television, and art. And thus the Nukus branch of the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan was created. Currently, the total number of employees is 290, of which 163 are men, 127 are women, of which 45 are young professionals under 30 years of age. In total, 1,763 students study at the branch in 9 areas. Of these, 886 are full-time students, 868 are part-time students and 9 students are studying for a master’s degree. Today, the branch has 3 faculties and 10 departments. The professors and lecturers are 12 professors, 12 candidates of sciences, 19 associate professors, artists and People’s Artists of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan. Honored Artists, Honored Artists of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan teach students by giving them the most innovative knowledge in the field of culture and art.
At the moment, the scientific level of professors in the branch is 41 percent. It should be noted that Nukus branch of the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan was able to take the third place among the Nukus branches of higher educational institutions.
A number of our students who studied at the branch participated in national and international competitions and won. Among them are the winners of the state scholarships “President”, “Islam Karimov”, “I. Yusupov”, “T. Kayypbergenov”. The branch has introduced a scholarship named after “Mariyash Ismailova” for the 2023-2024 academic year. Two of our students are laureates of the Mariyash Ismailova Scholarship.
In 2018, in order to increase students’ interest in art, the Tumar dance ensemble was created. In a short time, the Tumar dance ensemble has become widely known in our republic and today presents concert programs. On the holidays of Independence and Navruz, as well as the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on December 28, 2020 “On measures to develop the social and industrial infrastructure of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2021-2023”, According to Resolution No. 4936, a new dormitory for 300 places is being built in the branch.
At the end of the meeting, several employees of the branch were awarded certificates of honor and valuable gifts prepared by the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Workers of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Uzbekistan.
