This year marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On the occasion of the date, a festive event was held on the square with the flags of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan in the center of the capital.
It was attended by professors and teachers of the Nukus branch of the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture, students, representatives of public organizations and the media.
First, the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan were played.
Then the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan M. Jumanov, the head of the Writers’ Union K. Karimov and others spoke, emphasizing the importance of the symbols of our country, including our flag.
The high-level event ended with a concert program prepared by the artists.
