In 2018, at the Nukus branch of Uzbekistan state institute of arts and culture, the educational direction “Library information activity” was organized as part of the “Social and humanitarian disciplines and art studies” department. In 2019, this specialty was included in the department “Creativeness of the population of culture and library activity”, and in 2020 it was included in the department “Culture and library – information activity”. On October 9, 2023, the department of “Library – Information Activities” was reorganized.

      In the department, 2 grand teachers, 2 assistant teachers have a pedagogical qualification. Today, the department is headed by professor-teacher Marjan Khudaibergenova.

  On May 20, 2022, a republican scientific-practical conference was held in New Uzbekistan on the topic of the tasks of developing the education, culture and spirituality system.
