History of the department

The branch was founded in 2008, and the Department of “Social and Humanities, Acting Art and Art Studies” operated there until 2014. In the academic year 2014/2015, taking into account the contingent of the branch, it will be divided into two departments: “Directing and acting skills” and “Social-humanitarian and art studies”. The Department of “Social and Humanities and Art Studies” mainly included the specializations “Organization and management of cultural and art institutions” and “Technogenic art: film, television and radio sound directing”.

From May 1, 2019, the department “Folk art, culture and library activities” was established in our branch. In 2020, the “Culture and library-information activity” department was established from the structure of this department.

The department has two specialties, “Organization and management of cultural and art institutions” and “Library and information activities”. 1 Ph.D., 1 associate professor, 2 senior teachers, 7 assistant teachers are doing pedagogical activities in the department.

On May 20, 2022, a republic-wide scientific-practical conference was organized on the topic of tasks of developing the system of education, culture and spirituality in New Uzbekistan.
