Department of cultural activities

                                                          History of the department

         The branch was founded in 2008, and until 2014 it was functioning mainly as a department of “Social and humanitarian, acting art and art studies”. In the 2014/2015 academic year, taking into account the contingent, the branch will be divided into two departments: “Directing and acting skills” and “Social-humanitarian and art studies”. The Department of “Social, Humanitarian and Art Studies” mainly included the specialties “Organization and management of cultural and art institutions” and “Technogenic art: film, television and radio sound directing”.

         From May 1, 2019, the department “Culture of folk art and library activities” was established in our branch.

          In 2020, the “Culture and library – activity” department was established from this department. The department has two specializations, “Organization and management of cultural and art institutions” and “Library-information activities”. From October 9, 2023, it was reorganized as the Department of Cultural Activities.

  1. Gulshira Saparbaeva “Formation of cultural centers in Karakalpakstan and its role in moral and aesthetic upbringing of young people”;
  2. Gulbakhar Eshbaeva “Karakalpak folk music at the current stage”
  3. Bektursinova Gulmira “Reading culture in new Uzbekistan and its importance in continuing education”
  4. Makhamatdinov Shakhabatdin “Formation of the foundations of the third renaissance and promotion of the general aspects of the art of the Turkic peoples”
  5. Urazbaev Islam “The role of Karakalpak national value in creating a new spiritual environment”
  6. Madreymova Nasiba is conducting research on the scientific topics “Transformation processes in the national culture of Karakalpak and their importance in forming the spiritual needs of the population”.

Cooperation with foreign countries:

         On January 4-11, 2020, professor of the department G. Saparbaeva held a seminar with professors Sean Prime and Adrian da La Court at Goldsmith University in London, Great Britain, during the development of the module “Fundamentals of creative entrepreneurship in the field of culture and art” – training and participated in the international forum “Integration of creative entrepreneurship training in the higher education system of Uzbekistan” held in Tashkent on February 3-4, 2020. On February 29, 2020, by the State Institute of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan, under the international project “Creative Spark: Higher Education Program”, “Creative entrepreneurship education in the field of culture and art issues” participated in the practical seminar in cooperation with the British Council of Uzbekistan and representatives of the company “Humo partners”. On February 19, 2020, in the “Greetings of Karakalpakstan” program of the “Karakalpakstan” TV channel, senior teacher A. Bekjanova and the head of the “Culture and library activity” department G. Saparbaeva spoke about their “Creative Spark” project participated with their information. G. Saparbaeva as a member and organizer of the international project “Creative Spark: Higher Education Program” in cooperation with the representatives of the Great Britain Council in Uzbekistan “Humo partners” of the Department “Organization and Management of Culture and Art Institutions” of UzSIAC has been participating.

         In December 2021, the head of the department, G. Saparbaeva, attended a master class on cooperation at Mukhtar Avezov University of South Kazakhstan. In May 2022, the head of the Department of Crafts of South Kazakhstan University named after Mukhtar Avezov, PhD Altınay Kadıralieva and senior teacher Gawhar Nasanova held master classes for the department’s specialties.

         Head of the department G. Saparbaeva held experience exchange and master classes on cooperation at Mukhtar Avezov University of South Kazakhstan on November 18-22, 2023.

  On May 20, 2022, a Republican scientific-practical conference was held on the topic of the tasks of developing the system of education, culture and spirituality in New Uzbekistan.
